Spencer Dixon
6'0" Senior
Spencer gave a verbal commitment to attend Kennesaw State University. The 6'0" point guard has had an excellent senior season for Kennesaw Mountain High School averaging 24 points, 8 assists and 5 rebounds a game. "It's a great opportunity," Dixon said. "They are really close to home and there is a chance for me to come in and earn playing time. I liked the coaches there, the players there. It's a great situation." Spencer also drew interest from Charleston Southern, UNC-Ashville, Air Force and an offer from Presbyterian College. Spencer will join sophomore Keonte Keith at KSU. Keonte is a 2006 Inner Strength graduate. Kennesaw State plays in the Atlantic Sun Conference where Spencer will compete against Inner Strength teammate JC Ward who signed to play at East Tenn State Univ.
Kyle Meyer
6'7" Eighth Grade
Kyle is a 6'7" Eighth grader that is amking a name for himself in Atlanta. He stepped his game up as a member of the Inner Strength u13 team last season and has picked up where he left off woth his 8th grade feeder team. Kyle recently recorded his first triple double with 20pts, 12 rebs and 10 blocks. Kyle is also a very good student that holds a 3.3 GPA.
JC Ward
6'6" Senior
JC gave a verbal commitment to attend ETSU on a full athletic scholarship. Jc plays hard and competes on every play. He was able to take full advantage of his opportunities to impress college coaches during the spring and summer months. He took visits to several schools and felt that the best fit socially, academically and athletically was ETSU. East Tenn competes at the top of the Atlantic Sun Conference and JC hopes to help keep them there.
Keonte Keith
6'5" Sophomore at Kennesaw State
Keonte is off to a fast start for the 2-2 Owls. He is currently averaging 11 points and 6 rebounds a game. As a freshman Keonte played in 31 games starting nine for KSU. He made his collegiate debut against Western Kentucky (11/11/06) where he played 13 minutes and scored his first two collegiate points on 1-for-4 shooting. He started his first collegiate game against Florida International (11/25/06), playing 21 minutes and pulling down four boards.
This year Keonte has seen more minutes and he has stepped up his production. Keep an eye on him this season as this might be the year that Keonta and KSU basketball make a big splash in the Atlantic Sun Conference.
Yaw Gyawu
6'5" Senior
Yaw made a verbal commitment to attend Colgate University in the fall of 2008. Yaw is a hardworking, physical wing player that has excellent scoring and rebounding skills. He averaged close to 25 points per game last year for Parkview HS. Yaw had a very good spring/summer basketball season and was one of the main reasons that the Inner Strength u17 team was so successful. He will take his winning attitude, hardworking approach and 3.5 GPA to Hamilton NY in an effort to help Colgate get back to the top of the Patriot League.
Dustin Ware
6'0" Senior
Dustin, a 6'0" PG from North Cobb Christian School, has given a verbal commitment to attend UGA in the fall of 2008. Dustin is an exceptional PG with tremdous leadership, shooting and passing abilities. He has led his high school team to back to back state titles and is shooting for number 3 before taking his winning track record to the UGA campus. Dustin has had a great spring/summer basketball season and led the Inner Strength u17 team to a 6th place finish in the national tournament and a championship at the Dick's Sporting Goods Big Shots tournament in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.
Matt Sundberg
6'7" Senior
The 6'7" senior from Harrioson High School in Marietta made a verbal commitment to continue his education and basketball career at the College of Charleston. His verbal pledge to COC topped off a strong spring/summer basketball season for "Slim". He is an excellent shooter that is becoming very dangerous at taking the ball to the basket. Sundberg's ability to stretch defenses and knack for knocking down big shots in big games will definitely come in handy for COC and head coach Bobby Cremmins as they attempt to dominate the Southern Conference in the coming years.
Richie Gordon
6'8" Senior
Richie Gordon, the 6'8" PF from Lakeside HS chose Western Carolina over several other division 1 programs. He feels that the coaching staff will help him develop into a dominant player in the Southern Conference. Richie hopes to major in business and plans on attending summer semester to get a jump on his academics.
