  • Comcast Education Partners Program

The Education Partners Program at Comcast offers school and community organizations the chance to join with Comcast to improve the educational experience of children through grants, technology, and other resources available to Comcast Corporation.

Inner Strength and Comcast have been "Partners in Education" since mid-2004, and the relationship has been extremely beneficial for all involved. Comcast provided the funding for this web site, a video that helps tell the Inner Strength story to possible participants, interested parties, and potential funders, and direct funding for support of our youth from Dekalb County, GA.

    Thank you, Comcast...

For allowing us to continue to "Help Youth Find a Way" to their Inner Strength.

  • Automobile Protection Corporation - APCO

Automobile Protection Corporation (APCO) has supported Inner Strength since early 1999. APCO provides our administrative offices and tutoring facilities free of charge as an "In Kind" donation, as well as funding a minimum of $15,000 in corporate contributions each year.

Located in Norcross, Georgia, APCO administers extended warranties/vehicle service contracts and other insurance- based products for automobile dealers and manufacturers across the country. Founded in 1984, APCO went public in 1988, and was then bought by Ford Motor Company in 1999. APCO is currently a wholly owned subsidiary of Ford Motor Company.

  • Curran-Dorfman Family Foundation

The Curran-Dorfman Family Foundation is a private foundation devoted to the memory of Thomas Patrick Curran and Joan Lewis Dorfman.

CDFF has been a supporter of Inner Strength since 1999, and was the founding grantor to The Stars, Inc. in 2000. With the merger of the two agencies, CDFF continues to be a major financial supporter of the work done at Inner Strength with annual contributions of funds and "in kind" donations.

  • Speedway Children's Charities

In 1984 O. Bruton Smith started Speedway Children's Charities (SCC) in Charlotte, North Carolina. In 1990, General Thomas M. Sadler, USAF (ret.) was appointed Executive Director of Speedway Children's Charities to help facilitate its growth, and in 2003 SCC was named a Proud Charity of NASCAR.

SCC has grown over the years from one chapter holding only one event a year, to a nationally recognized charity with chapters located at each Speedway Motorsports Facility: Atlanta, Bristol, Las Vegas, Lowe's, Texas Motor Speedways, and Infineon Raceway. Additionally, there are two volunteer chapters, one in the Washington D.C. area and one in Tampa, Florida.

Speedway Children's Charities hosts a wide range of events and promotions geared around race weeks at Speedways, and supported by teams of volunteers. Currently, the staff to volunteer ratio is 1 to 122. In 2004, the Charities raised over 2.8 million dollars, and awarded grants to an excess of 411 non-profit children's groups, representing an impact to more than 300,000 children in need.

  • McKesson Foundation

McKesson Corporation is the leading provider of supply, information, and care management products and services designed to reduce costs and improve quality across healthcare. McKesson solutions empower healthcare professionals with the tools they need to deliver care more effectively and efficiently. Founded in 1833, with annual revenues of more than $50 billion, McKesson ranks as the 16th largest industrial company in the United States.

Giving back to the communities where they work and live is the goal of McKesson Community Relations Department and the McKesson Foundation. Together they work to support community agencies, employee volunteers, and education. Healthcare for at-risk youth is the primary focus of their charitable giving. With some $4 million in annual grants, the McKesson Foundation would like to see that no child goes without the medicine or treatment they need.

"For 25 years the McKesson Foundation has been committed to helping the communities where we work and live."

    -Marcia Argyris, President, McKesson Foundation

In 2005 McKesson gave Inner Strength a grant of $5000 to kick off an Asthma Awareness program for our youth. The program allows us to make our athletes aware of the asthma condition, teaches them to look for indicators that they or one of their teammates may have asthma, and what to do if they or someone they know is suffering from this debilitating disease.

In the future Inner Strength is looking forward to continuing to work with McKesson to assure that our youth understand the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle for themselves and their families.

  • Russell Athletics

Russell Athletics became a sponsor of Inner Strength in 2005 with "In Kind" contributions of uniforms for our teams competing in National Championship Tournaments.

Inner Strength is excited about our future partnership with Russell as we look to provide our youth with the best equipment available to assure their success.
